Parma, 30 January 2026 – Comments from midfielder Hans Nicolussi Caviglia, given during his presentation at the “Gianfranco Bellè” press room at Ennio Tardini Stadium, attended by CEO Federico Cherubini and Director of Football Alessandro Pettinà.
HANS’ RETURN
“It’s been a very welcoming return. I was here only a few months ago but it was unfortunately cut short by injury, but I had already started to get to know the club and the city. So I’m very happy to be back. I would like to thank President Kyle J. Krause, the director, and the coach, who I’ve already discussed this opportunity with. I hope to earn the fans’ respect and affection with my performances on the pitch.
I’m a completely different player from when I first got here 5–6 years ago. Back then I was very young and more of a mezzala or attacking midfielder. Since that I’ve matured, physically as well, and grown stronger. I’ve evolved into a more versatile player, now often play in front of the defence as a central midfielder. My skills have evolved and I’ve refined my earlier strengths, like shooting from distance and other attacking skills. I enjoy playing a role that builds the game, intercepts, and reads situations. But I’ve learned that when you’re in the opponent’s half, a midfielder also needs to reach the areas near the box and be able to shoot. If not by making runs into the box, then through other solutions, shots from distance, combinations, or other moves that can be useful on the pitch.”
A TEAM THAT ADAPTS WELL
“Joining mid-season, the team’s systems are already well established. I’ve followed the squad and in a three-man midfield, I can play as a deep-lying playmaker or as one of two central midfielders. I see that the team adapts very well to different situations on the pitch and often changes formations, which I like because it gives the chance to interpret different scenarios, and I’ll try to do that with my new teammates.
Set-pieces? I know they’ve been an important weapon for Parma. There are some good takers, and I hope to be among them because I work hard on it.
The dressing room music? The locker room? I haven’t yet found the ‘chosen one’ (referring to Kean in Fiorentina), but there are lots of Argentines who listen to music. I have to say I like that, and it’s a positive thing.”
