Parma, 30 August 2025 - Captain Enrico Delprato's reflections after Parma vs. Atalanta, on Matchday 2 of Serie A 2025/26.

“It was great that we equalised, we didn't deserve to lose as we didn't concede many chances and we played a great game. It was quite balanced so a draw is the right result. It wasn't easy conceding a goal late on after a mix-up, it gets on your nerves a little. However, we did well to avoid giving up and to recover the game. Cutrone? I didn't say anything to him after the goal, he lives to score. He rushed straight towards the keeper as he has that predator instinct in the box. He will have to do something for his teammates, maybe a BBQ. Me, the team leader? As I have always said, I try to do my best for my teammates and for this team. With the goal, it was my header, but it was the whole team's effort: someone won the foul, someone then put it in the box, and then we all battled hard in the area. A goal is never down to a single person, but the whole team makes the difference, when you win and you lose. This performance shows that the team always believes in themselves. Sometimes it goes badly, other times well, however with this mentality we will be able to achieve good things. Cuesta? Training is very intense, and we work well. The boss is passing on a great mentality: energy, positivity and bit by bit the team is taking it all in. I want to repeat: from now until the end of the season, the goal must always be to go on the pitch to improve and use what we have worked on during the week'.
