EDOARDO CORVI: “I'M SORRY WE COULDN’T GIVE THE FANS SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE, PROUD TO WEAR THE ARMBAND”

Parma, Saturday 13 December 2025 – Speaking after Parma vs Lazio on Matchday 15 of the Serie A season, goalkeeper Edoardo Corvi reflected on the defeat and on the pride of captaining his boyhood club.

“I’m disappointed with how it ended and that we couldn’t give our fans something to celebrate at home. We lacked a bit of precision, and football can be ruthless: sometimes things go your way, sometimes they don’t. What matters is analysing what we did well and the mistakes we made, and trying to improve day by day.'

'We were missing a bit of sharpness. In moments like these you need balance. We didn’t speak much in the dressing room, but there’s certainly frustration. We gave everything and wanted the win, but we shouldn’t forget we were up against a side with European experience, and today they came out on top.'

“Being a Parma local and wearing the captain’s armband is a huge source of pride for me. I was born and raised in Parma’s youth system, so this really is a dream. I hope I can keep going like this. When I was a kid I used to come here as a fan, and now being involved on the pitch is something special.'

“My teammates handed me the armband and, out there, I tried to embody what Enrico Delprato represents for all of us: he’s an example, someone who always gives everything, and we all need to follow that path.'

“As for the goal we conceded, those are difficult situations. We’ll analyse them together and make the right assessments. Having continuity helps, though – I hope to keep improving and to carry on this way.”
