Lecce, Sunday 11 January 2026 – Speaking after Lecce vs Parma on Matchday 20 of Serie A, goalkeeper Edoardo Corvi said:

“It was an important win, built on the strength of the group. Not just those on the pitch, but also the staff and the players on the bench. We are one united group, and that helps us even in difficult matches. It helps us to endure when we have to and to come through those moments in the best possible way. It’s a win that counts for twice as much, since it has such an impact on the balance of the league table. It also means a lot for the group, because games like this build even more confidence. We’re very happy with this performance. What happened at half-time? We told each other to stay calm, because we knew the chances would come. We trusted ourselves and kept going, giving everything. Banda’s red card? It probably affected Lecce more than us. Even towards the end of the first half we were starting to come out and create more chances, and before the equaliser there was Bernabé’s effort off the crossbar. We were creating opportunities already; after that incident they dropped even deeper. We found more space and created a lot, then scored the two goals. Being in the starting XI? I’m very happy to be able to make the most of these opportunities. As the matches go by, I feel more and more at home at this level, but I’ll keep working to keep improving. Napoli on Wednesday? It will be a tough match, but we’re working to make sure we’re ready.”
