Bologna, 4 December 2025 – Parma put in a strong performance in the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa, but were knocked out by the reigning champions Bologna after conceding a late 89th-minute winner.
The Gialloblu started the match on the front foot, pressing the hosts from the first whistle. In the 6th minute, Benedyczak came close to opening the scoring after a threaded pass from Ondrejka, only for Ravaglia to deny him with a desperate save. Seven minutes later, the Polish forward managed to score, perfectly set up by Løvik, finishing across goal to give Parma a 1-0 lead. Benedyczak went close again in the 18th minute with a powerful shot that Ravaglia tipped over for a corner. Bologna equalised in the 38th minute through Rowe, ending the first half level at 1-1.
Early in the second half, Troilo made a crucial block to deny Fabbian, while Løvik, on a fine solo run, failed to double Parma’s lead when he missed a one-on-one with Ravaglia. Bologna took the lead in the dying moments, with Castro converting Holm’s cross to seal a 2-1 victory.
