Turin, 24 August 2025 - Carlos Cuesta's words after Juventus vs. Parma on Matchday 1 of Serie A 2025-26.

“What I take away from this is knowing that it was a difficult match, where we had to play as organised as possible. We had to try and make the most of our chances, knowing that there weren't that many. We had a few dangerous moments where we could have turned the game in our favour. However, these games are defined in these moments, so when the ball is out of play and they score a goal, it changes the dynamics of the game. After Cambiaso was sent off, we could have created some chances, however they then made it two. I will take plenty of positives, but we must grow and continue our journey. Pellegrino? He wants to continuously grow, he is an example for his teammates, he gives his all everyday. Last week he scored twice, and he is definitely improving on this front. Obviously he gives a lot, his hold-up play is so useful to get us up the pitch. And, in the end, we are growing with him. We hope that he still has plenty more to give. I definitely liked the team spirit, unity and the courage that we had in terms of play. There were certain moments where it will be more difficult to develop and we had moments where we pressed high and other points where we had more of the ball and built up more patiently, attacking in behind. We will look to be more dominant in the opposition's box, but we know who we are playing and that Juventus are a really strong team and they will compete for the league right to the end. For us. it's all about growing and we must take all the positives from today to do our best'.
