Parma, 28 October 2026 – Every city has its own history, identity, and sense of belonging, reflected in the colours of its football team. Football becomes a language that brings places, people and traditions together, turning every game into an encounter that extends beyond the pitch. It is this connection between sport, local identity and culture that inspired Incroci, an artistic project which allows Parma Calcio to celebrate the cities involved in Serie A, presenting each visiting team with a dedicated artwork.
Incroci symbolically brings the Serie A cities to Parma, weaving together their architecture, landmarks, and identities, whilst creating a visual journey across Italy. The skylines, monuments, and colours of the visiting cities sit alongside those of Parma, creating distinctive new urban landscapes. Each composition focuses on the Stadio Ennio Tardini, depicted from an interior perspective, with scenes of play capturing the dynamism and competitive intensity of the game.
For every home game, Parma Calcio will present the illustration to the visiting team during an official ceremony held at the Club’s “E. Ceresini” Museum before kick-off. Through art, this gesture of hospitality and sportsmanship expresses mutual respect and celebrates the bond between the clubs and the communities they represent. Incroci is a unique project in Serie A, which began on Monday 19 October, when Parma Calcio presented the first illustration to Torino ahead of the Parma vs. Torino fixture. The artistic journey continues this evening with Parma vs. Udinese.
The series includes 20 original illustrations: one central work dedicated to the relationship between the Club and Parma, and 19 depicting the home fixtures against the other teams in Serie A Enilive. The first artwork explores the deep-rooted historical and cultural bond between Parma Calcio and the city. Through representative locations, architecture, and symbols, artist Pierpaolo Rovero, under the artistic direction of The Parmigianer, captures a relationship shaped over time, rooted in collective memory and the sense of belonging shared by the Parma community. In the remaining 19 illustrations, each visiting city is symbolically brought to Parma. Together, the works tell a story that intertwines football, art, and architecture, celebrating the identities, colours, and cultural heritage of cities across Italy.
