“We’re feeling very positive after two months of intense, productive work. That period has helped the group build stronger connections and given the players the chance to get to know each other better. We head into the opener with confidence and enthusiasm.

Women’s Cup? We put in a good performance against Lazio and got into their penalty area on plenty of occasions. That game highlighted one area in particular where we can still improve: our quality and execution in the final 20 metres. It’s something we’ve been working hard on.”

Approach? The players have looked very focused and fully aware of the importance of what lies ahead. I’m confident we’ll approach the game with the right attitude.

Physically, we’re in good shape. We’ve had a few players return, and everyone available is in good condition.”
