Varano de’ Melegari, 19 September 2026 - A day celebrating history, passion and the bond with the local area for Parma Legends, who were the guests of a special event in Varano de’ Melegari.
The day began at the HQ of the Dallara Group, one of the world’s leading companies specialising in the design, development and production of high-performance racing cars. It was a special visit for the Legends, who had the honour of being accompanied by engineer Giampaolo Dallara, the company’s founder (in 1972) and President, as they discovered the facilities and history of a business that was born in Varano de’ Melegari and is now a leading name in international motorsport. During the visit, there was no shortage of anecdotes about the company’s history and the many racing cars designed and built over the years. Also joining the Legends for the occasion was Parma Calcio CEO Federico Cherubini.
The group then moved to the Fondazione Caterina Dallara, where Gazzetta di Parma director Claudio Rinaldi hosted a conversation with Nevio Scala, coach of Parma Legends. It was a journey through some of the most significant moments in the life and career of the former Parma coach, including many anecdotes from the 1990s and the seasons he spent on the Parma bench, shared with some of the players from that era who were also present at the event.
The day concluded on the Varano de’ Melegari football pitch with a game between Parma Legends and Varanese All Stars, which ended in a 6-0 victory for Nevio Scala’s side.
Beyond the game, it was above all a day of meetings, memories and shared experiences: an opportunity to come together again and tell stories that have been part of Parma Calcio and the local area. It was also a chance to once again celebrate the bond with a land capable of producing world-renowned excellence such as Dallara, while nurturing an extraordinary passion for sport.
