Collecchio, 13 August 2026 – Head Coach Carlos Cuesta spoke ahead of Parma's first competitive fixture of the 2026/27 season. Catania will visit the Tardini tomorrow at 18:00 CEST in the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa Round of 32.

'We're feeling good ahead of this fixture, as we've worked very hard throughout pre-season. We know what the Coppa Italia represents for Parma and its history, and it means a great deal to us too. We want to approach it in the best possible way. We are in the middle of a process of growth and evolution. We're trying to add something to the team; we're going through a period of change, and that adaptation takes time. However, we are aware that this cannot be an excuse. We are focused on ourselves, on what we can achieve and on being competitive, going into every game believing we can win it. Tomorrow, we'd love to feel the warmth of the fans and have their support. We really felt it last week and it means a great deal to us.'
