ATHORA GAME ON, ALL STARS NIGHT: DOMENICO AURELIO AND CATERINA AMBROSI RECOGNISED

Rome, Tuesday 19 May 2026 – An evening dedicated to excellence in Italian women’s football (celebrating individual achievements, special recognition and the continued growth of the game) was held in the elegant setting of La Lanterna Rome: “Athora Game On – All Stars Night”, the official Serie A Women Athora event, celebrated the standout figures of the 2025/26 season.

Parma Calcio Women were represented at the event, with Head of Women’s Football Domenico Aurelio and captain Caterina Ambrosi in attendance.

During the evening, Ambrosi was named in the Serie A Women 2025/26 Top 11, recognition of both her individual journey and her contribution to the Club securing survival in the top flight.

'There are awards that reflect a single season and others that tell the story of a broader journey,” said Caterina Ambrosi. “For me, this recognition means exactly that: three years of growth and shared moments with Parma, a Club that has helped me become the person and player I am today. I would like to thank everyone who has been part of this journey, from the Club to the staff, and all those who work passionately and tirelessly behind the scenes every day. A thank you also goes to my teammates, because nothing we achieved this season would have been possible without them. Finally, and most importantly, thank you to my family, to whom I am incredibly close, and who find ways to support me every single day. Thank you to my friends, who stand by me through life’s highs and lows. And to everyone who, if only for a short time, left me something to learn from, inspiration to follow and new perspectives to consider.'

During the event, Parma Calcio Women also received one of the “Game On Changers Awards” thanks to “Classe Gialloblu”, an initiative dedicated to strengthening the relationship between schools, the local community and women’s football.

The award was collected by Domenico Aurelio, representing the entire Club and, in particular, the Brand Area, which conceived and developed the project.

The award citation read: “For changing the rules of the game in the relationship between sport and the education system, through the outstanding ‘Classe Gialloblu’ project, and for bringing many girls and boys in the local community closer to women’s football.”

“This award represents important recognition for the whole of Parma Calcio,” commented Domenico Aurelio. “‘Classe Gialloblu’ is a project born from the work of the Brand Area and the desire to create a genuine connection with the local community, engaging girls and boys through the values of sport and women’s football. Receiving this recognition in such a prestigious setting is a source of great pride for all of us.”

The evening opened with speeches from Serie A Women President Federica Cappelletti, FIGC Vice-President Umberto Calcagno and Minister for Sport and Youth Andrea Abodi.

During the event, the season’s MVP awards were also presented, while the Serie A Women Top 11 selections were officially announced.
