Cagliari, 4 April 2026 — Parma returned from Cagliari with all three points, beating their hosts 3-1 at the Centro Sportivo di Assemini on Matchday 13 of the return phase of the Primavera 1 Championship.
The opening phases were restrained, with both sides sizing each other up. Parma pressed well but lacked a clinical edge in the final third — until the 14th minute, when Plicco, picked out by D'Intino down the left, tucked the ball into the corner to give the visitors the lead. Cagliari responded and pushed for an equaliser, but Parma held firm until the 24th minute, when a clumsy challenge by Chimezie on Trapy inside the area gave the referee little choice but to point to the spot. Sugamele stepped up and sent Astaldi the wrong way: 1-1. Cagliari ended the half on a bright note, Trepy weaving past several defenders before squandering a promising opportunity with a wayward finish.
Parma reasserted their advantage almost immediately after the break. In the 48th minute, Mikolajewski released Diop, who struck a composed effort from distance to restore the lead. Pushing for more, Parma continued to press and twice came close to extending their advantage further — first through Plicco, then Balduzzi — before substitute Semedo settled the matter just one minute after coming on, making it 3-1. In the 76th minute, Cardinali came close to adding a fourth, only to strike the post from a good position. Parma saw the game out with composure, maintaining their attacking intent through to the final whistle.
Next up for Parma is a Primavera Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday 8 April, kick-off 18:30 CEST, against Juventus at the Allianz Training Centre.
