Parma, 6 March, 2026 – An afternoon full of emotion, memories and gialloblu passion marked the sixth anniversary of the Alberto Di Chiara Academy, held yesterday, Thursday, March 5, at the Bartolozzi Sports Field in Scandicci. The stars of the event were the Parma Legends team, who took to the pitch to celebrate an initiative that, in the name of Alberto Di Chiara, continues to pass on the true values of sport to young generations. The gialloblu won both matches played: 1-0 against the Fenimprese representative team (goal by Melli) and 2-0 against Scandicci Friends (goals by Martinez and Melli).
From 5:00 p.m., families, fans and more than 300 academy children enjoyed a special event dedicated to Parma’s history. For the occasion, the original trophies won between 1992 and 1995 were displayed, the UEFA Cup, the Cup Winners’ Cup and the Coppa Italia, symbols of a winning era that still represents pride for the club and its supporters.
Parma CEO Federico Cherubini and General Secretary Alessio Paini also attended the event, showing the club’s support for initiatives that promote sport, education and community.
The Legends were welcomed with great enthusiasm. The squad included Marco Ballotta, Antonio Benarrivo, Leo Martinez, Marco Giandebiaggi, Luigi Apolloni, Simone Iacoponi, Alessandro Melli, Marco Osio, Andrea Pisanu, Lorenzo Minotti and Fausto Pizzi. Leading the team, was coach Nevio Scala.
The setup also featured the display of the original jerseys of the players “called up” for the Scandicci triangular tournament, as well as autograph sessions and meet-and-greet moments with the attending players. Friends of Di Chiara also took part in the day, including Francesco Flachi, Giuseppe Iachini and Cesare Prandelli. The program was further enriched by the presentation of Massimo Proietto’s book and an exhibition of sculptures dedicated to football legends, created by Dante Mortet.
