“Tonight you saw the character and determination that define this team. Once again, we managed to get back into the game in the closing minutes. Based on what we showed on the pitch, I think we deserved more than a draw. Was I cramping up at the end? I couldn’t leave the team a man down in the final minutes, so I wanted to stay on the pitch and help my teammates until the very end. We’re growing as a group and it’s important not to lose against a rival that's challenging for a similar spot in the table. We don’t want to leave points on the table. Patience was one of our key qualities tonight and it allowed us to find the equaliser late on. In recent matches we’ve been trying to impose our style of play with greater consistency. On a personal level, I’m learning a lot and growing into the new league, since Serie A is very tactical and competitive. We must not stop — we need to keep working to earn as many points as possible and finish the season in the most positive way we can.”
