HEAD COACH CARLOS CUESTA: ”WE'RE HAPPY WITH THE RESULT, BUT WE NEED TO STAY LEVEL-HEADED”

Milano, 22 February, 2026 - Head Coach Carlos Cuesta spoke after Milan vs. Parma on matchday 26 of Serie A.

“First of all, I want to wish Loftus-Cheek all the best after what happened today. As for the game, we have to stay level-headed. We limited Milan’s space and didn’t allow them much. When we had the ball, we tried to threaten. At times it wasn’t easy and we struggled, but we still managed to create problems. We were organised and disciplined, which is never simple against a team of that quality. We did well, but we weren’t perfect. There are things we need to improve from the first half. Still, we’re very happy with the result. Enthusiasm? Of course, but balance is key. We weren't a 'bad team' after Atalanta and Juventus, and we’re not suddenly an outstanding one after three wins in a row. We have to keep working and keep collecting points. We’re making progress, both defensively and going forward. We need to be ready for any situation that comes up in a match, and we always try to prepare as thoroughly as possible. Overall, we kept our level high today and I’m pleased with the performance, but we shouldn't relax. From tomorrow, our focus is on Cagliari.”
