Noceto, Saturday 11 January 2026 – Parma sealed an emphatic 5–1 win over Cagliari in their Matchday 19 fixture. Parma controlled the opening half hour, with Cagliari looking to find their balance. The first chance fell to Plicco after only 2 minutes, played through by Cardinali, but his effort was weak and easily gathered by Auseklis. In the 14th minute Mikolajewski threatened for Parma, only to be flagged offside.
The match grew in intensity around the half-hour mark: in the 31st minute Mendy tested Astaldi with a header, forcing the Parma goalkeeper to concede a corner. Five minutes later the breakthrough arrived: Konaté fed Cardinali, who drove to the edge of the area before setting up Mikolajewski, clinical in finishing past Auseklis for the 1–0 lead.
Early in the second half Cagliari levelled through Mendy, who struck a superb effort from outside the area into the top corner beyond Astaldi. From that point on, however, it was all Parma. Mikolajewski completed his hat-trick with goals in the 61st and 77th minutes, Mengoni added a fourth in the 80th, and Cardinali sealed the emphatic 5–1 scoreline five minutes from the end of the match.
Nicola Corrent’s side will be back in action on Friday 16 January, away to Genoa.
