Noceto, 7 November 2025 – The words of Parma Primavera head coach Nicola Corrent following his side’s 2–1 victory over Cesena on Matchday 11 of the Primavera 1 season:

“Even after going behind, we kept trying to build our game and so I think the win was well deserved. We’ll enjoy this moment: I'll give them three days off, because they deserve it, especially seeing as we won’t be playing until after the international break, and even then on Sunday. Mikolajewski’s brace? He’s a special player. Beyond the goals, he works so hard for the team – he's constantly making sacrifices and shows great spirit. I didn’t know him before, but I have to congratulate him: he’s behaving like a top player. That said, the whole team did well. I feel sorry for some of the boys who didn’t get on the pitch today – I’d have liked to give them minutes, but it wasn’t possible. It’s a long season, we’re only at Matchday 11, and there’s still a long way to go. Everyone needs to stay involved with the project.What does it mean for some Primavera players to train with the First Team? It’s hugely important for them – a real privilege to work alongside Serie A players, and it gives them an edge. Of course, it’s a bit more difficult for us when we have fewer players in training, but that’s part of it. The main thing to remember is that their goal isn’t only to do well with the Primavera, but also to be ready when the First Team calls. That’s something that always has to stay in focus.Mentally, was this a step forward today? Yes, it was. We talked about it. We’d lost to Atalanta and Fiorentina, I think unfairly (especially against Fiorentina, because we played really well). But the precision, experience, and quality of the opposition made the difference. The boys are aware of the journey we’re on and know there’s still plenty to improve. This was one of those steps. They gave everything to get a result against a team that was above us in the table. They did really well – now let’s keep going.”
