Parma, 8 October 2025 – A new season begins, and this year marks a historic milestone: for the first time, the Parma Special players have been officially registered under Parma Calcio 1913. It’s a major step forward for both the project and the wider inclusive football movement, recognising years of dedicated work and strengthening the bond with the Gialloblu Club, which has always been deeply committed to inclusion.
“Finally, we’re back!” were the first words from our players after a challenging season marked by a few disappointments and some bad luck,” said coach Stefano Cavalli. “Starting again means doing so with enthusiasm and confidence, with the right spirit. For us, football is above all an opportunity for growth: growth within ourselves, by improving day after day, and growth through our opponents, to whom we’ve always shown – and will continue to show – the utmost respect. Every match is a chance to learn, to develop, and to grow as people thanks to those we play with and against. That’s why our opponents always deserve our appreciation – without them, our journey wouldn’t have the same meaning.”
In the FIGC/DCPS First Level, this season will feature an interregional tournament involving teams from Lombardy, Piedmont, and Emilia-Romagna, giving the players the chance to enjoy valuable sporting and personal experiences. The calendar includes three away fixtures in Milan and two home events in Parma (Noceto), with dates yet to be confirmed. The schedule will allow the team to test themselves in new settings and continue their growth both on and off the pitch.
For the Third Level, the calendar is still being finalised, but it promises to include plenty of new opportunities for sport, friendship, and inclusion. This milestone further strengthens the partnership between Parma Calcio 1913 and Parma Special, reaffirming the Club’s concrete commitment to promoting the true values of football: passion, respect, and togetherness.
“My wish for our players and all teams,” Cavalli concluded, “is to have fun, give their best, and experience football as an inclusive and educational journey – one where the result always comes after fairness, respect, and the joy of being together. A special thanks goes to everyone working behind the scenes – staff, educators, coaches, and volunteers. Their daily commitment makes possible a kind of football that isn’t just sport, but above all life, friendship, and inclusion.”
