The partnership between the Club and the University will cover a wide range of activities. These include internships in sports, nutrition, psychology, management, marketing, communications, as well as promoting Dual Career paths for athletes in various youth and senior sectors. The University faculty will support the Club in various ways, such as performance assessment, psychology, health, management and legal matters. Meanwhile, professionals and athletes at Parma Calcio will contribute to the University’s teaching through lectures, seminars, talks, and practical activities. The partnership also includes the creation of new training programs on specific topics. The co-organisation of sporting events to encourage healthy lifestyles, and collaboration with the Unipr RISEG Center, an interdepartmental research hub for sport, e-sport and gaming. The collaboration will open new doors to so many activities and opportunities for shared growth.

CEO Federico Cherubini spoke about the new agreement. “We are delighted and proud to continue this educational path alongside the University of Parma. The bond with our local community and its young people, be they athletes or students, is at the heart of the Club’s strategy, both on and off the pitch. The University of Parma represents local excellence, and we are committed to offering students new initiatives and educational experiences. Football is a highly specialised industry requiring specific skills, and we are eager to share our knowledge and make it accessible to young people who are curious, equipping them with the tools for their studies and future career paths.”

Rector Paolo Martelli also added: “The collaboration with Parma Calcio wasn’t born today. In recent years, the Sports Science department has developed meaningful connections, especially in terms of education. There is so much to learn from pros in the sports world, especially considering the new opportunities emerging from within professional technical staff. I remember, for example, the internship organised for some Sports Science courses, or the theoretical and practical lessons held by staff from various departments of Parma Calcio. I also recall the Club’s support for the PhD scholarship in Molecular Medicine, helping gather data to advance scientific research in youth development and athletic performance. With this new agreement, our collaboration is even stronger, more structured, wider in scope, and we are very pleased. We believe that Parma can offer a great deal to our University, especially to our students.”
