Parma, 24 September 2025 – It was 2-2 at full time, before Parma then went on to win 4-3 on penalties, progressing to the Coppa Italia Round of 16. We will face reigning champions Bologna at the Dall'Ara. The Gialloblu got in front in the first half through Britschgi, who fired it home on the volley when Estévez's corner was cleared out of the box. In the 31st minute, Carlos Cuesta's side had another great chance, with Benedyczak's header forcing Sarr into a great save. Then, so much happened towards the end of the half: Spezia equalised through Aurelio before Pellegrino, set up by Benedyczak, headed home to put Parma back in front. In the 52nd minute, Pellegrino had another chance, but Sarr reacted well. Thirteen minutes later, Comotto struck the bar but Suzuki could do nothing to deny Lapadula, who found the bottom corner. The game went to penalties, which we won, and saw us through to the next round.
