Parma, October 28, 2025 – A landmark day for Italian women\u2019s football. Parma confirmed its role today as a key part of the growth and promotion of the women\u2019s game, hosting two major events: the Women\u2019s Football Lab \u2013 Workshop of Ideas for Women\u2019s Football in Italy<\/em>, held in the prestigious Sala del Ridotto of the Teatro Regio, sponsored by the FIGC, Serie A Women, and the City of Parma,<\/strong> in collaboration with Teatro Regio<\/strong> and Coccinelle<\/strong>; and the Italy-Brazil friendly match at the Ennio Tardini<\/em> Stadium at 18:15 CET.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Promoted by Parma Calcio and moderated by Gaia Brunelli<\/strong>, the workshop served as a platform to share best practices and international perspectives on the future of women\u2019s football, with participation from institutional representatives, sports executives, athletes, and industry professionals.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The event opened with greetings from Parma\u2019s Mayor, Michele<\/strong> Guerra<\/strong>, who highlighted that \u201cParma Calcio Women is deeply embedded in the cultural fabric of the city. President Krause has built an authentic movement, capable of attracting and maintaining support. The city and Teatro Regio are delighted to host this event.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Then, Parma Calcio CEO Federico<\/strong> Cherubini<\/strong> emphasised the strategic importance of women\u2019s football for the Club: \u201cI\u2019d like to thank Teatro Regio for this invaluable collaboration. Women\u2019s football is a priority for our Club: we were the first to register a Second Women\u2019s Team, and today we could witness a historic moment with our captain\u2019s possible debut for the National Team. Miwa Sykes<\/strong>, Lead Consultant at Two Circles, spoke about the importance of \u201cpersonalising the fan experience\u201d to make women\u2019s football even more engaging.<\/p>\n Stefano Braghin<\/strong>, Women\u2019s Football Director at Juventus FC, emphasised that \u201cthe best way to overcome prejudice is by delivering a high-quality product: women\u2019s football is professional and should be recognized and valued as such.\u201d <\/p>\n Maya Herm<\/strong>, Assistant Vice President at Wasserman, added: \u201cIt is essential to engage more women who are already passionate about the sport, developing targeted and inclusive communication strategies.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Olympic champion Antonella Palmisano<\/strong> shared her personal journey: \u201cI promised myself I would find my own path.
