Capaccio Paestum (Salerno), 28 March 2025<\/em> – A prize for eco-sustainabilty was awarded to Parma Calcio during the third edition of the Open Outdoor Experiences, the Exhibition of Outdoor Activities, that is taking place from today up until 30 March at the NEXT in Capaccio-Paestum. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Campania’s Councillor of Tourism, Felice Casucci opened the event inside Campania Open Space. Stefano Perrone<\/strong>, our COO (Chief Operations Officer) received the prestigious award from the national leader of Legambiente, Antonio Nicoletti. Perrone stated, ‘we would like to thank the organisers and the Open Outdoor Experiences’ scientific committee for this prize. It follows an internal process that we have been undertaking at the club, with the aim of receiving a UNI 14001 certification. It is a path that is putting together all of Parma Calcio’s good practices that we have adopted over the years to reduce our environmental impact. It is a goal that is alongside our business values in the medium and long term, with a ‘glocal’ vision that is based on both local social and sustainable action as well as recognised global demands in terms of caring for the environment. Even in the world of sport, we are aware of these issues and we have been working on them for many years to try and make our structures as efficient as possible: this prize reflects the work we have been doing so far, but we know that this is only the beginning’. <\/em><\/p>\n At the end of the prize ceremony, the attendees, including the Gialloblu COO, had a debate on sustainability. The Green Evolution Prize for Education was awarded by Open’s scientific committee to the AIGAE for the project \u201cFormazione in cammino Strade Maestre’ (education on the move).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is the third edition of Open, and it is a national figurehead for the outdoor-related sector, a key factor for sustainable tourism which has been becoming an increasingly important part of the tourism industry compared to more ‘classic’ travelling. Some of the main features of the event were slow tourism, activities in the open area and the sustainable use of green areas and paths. There were many attendees, proved by the number of pre-registrations that in the days before the start of the fair had already beaten the attendance of the last edition, which ended with around 10000 visitors. There were also hundreds of students from schools in the province of Salerno, who, other than simply learning a lot throughout the day, tried out the numerous open air activities in the areas outside of the exhibition (kayaking, climbing, archery and horse-riding).
