Parma, 14 August 2024 \u2013 Parma Calcio announces that it has loaned Matteo Cancellieri from SS Lazio, with an option to buy.<\/p>\n
Having joined Roma’s Youth Academy at the age of 8, Matteo has spent the last three seasons in Serie A, playing for Hellas Verona, Lazio, and Empoli, amassing a total of 68 appearances in Italy’s top league. He has distinguished himself as the youngest Italian player among those with at least 36 appearances in last season’s Serie A. A left-footed winger, Cancellieri has represented Italy at U17 and U21 levels before making his debut for the senior national team in June 2022, under head coach Roberto Mancini. Matteo is known for his speed and quickness, as well as his dribbling skills, but in the last season, he also found the back of the net. He stood out as the youngest player among those with at least three goals scored coming off the bench (with a total of four in Serie A in 2023\/24).<\/p>\n
