“These first few matches show that we’re struggling to score, but the chances are there – we went close to taking the lead in the first half today. I think a draw would’ve been a fair result.

The team should be given credit for playing such good football against a strong side like Roma. We didn’t just sit back: we created chances and tried to play our game. Hopefully things will start to turn our way soon.

It’s a pity about the set-piece goal we conceded in the second half. We reacted well after going 2–0 down and even managed to pull one back, so it’s unfortunate it ended like that.

The strength of this team is the group. Even the new players have settled quickly and shown real commitment.

What do we need to take the next step? We have to keep going down this path. Every game is tough, but in each one we’ve shown personality and tried to play our football.
